THE STONE CIRCLE by Elly Griffiths is one of the most atmospheric novels I’ve read in a while. In this, the eleventh in the series featuring archeologist Ruth Galloway and DCI Nelson, sometimes lovers who have gone their separate ways. This novel brings back memories and some characters or their relatives from earlier novels in the series/5. The book is full of hints of Norse Mythology, old stone circles, pagan rituals plus a baby abduction and of course murder mixed with a few red herrings. In parts really gripping and in others very sad/5(3). www.doorway.ru: The Stone Circle: The Dr Ruth Galloway Mysteries, Book 11 (Audible Audio Edition): Elly Griffiths, Jane McDowell, Quercus: Audible AudiobooksAuthor: Elly Griffiths.
Synopsis. Harking back to the creepy splendour of The Crossing Places, Elly Griffiths' new novel finds Nelson and Ruth drawn into a case whose features seem all too familiar. He is shaken, not only because children are very much on his mind, with Michelle’s baby due to be born, but because although the letters are anonymous, they are somehow familiar. They read like the letters that first drew him into the case of The Crossing Place s, and to Ruth.
